What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the art of being fully present in the moment. It is about letting go of stresses from the past or worries about the future and, instead, simply existing in the present without distraction.
Mindfulness is about observing our thoughts in the present without judgement, and treating ourselves with compassion and kindness.
Living in this way has countless benefits, including;
– Increased happiness in little moments.
– Reduced anxiety.
– Increased focus and attention.
– Improves a feeling of being content, without constantly searching for more stimulation.
How can we incorporate Mindfulness in our every day life?
A popular way we can do this is through meditation.
Meditation is a practice which helps us achieve Mindfulness.

Meditation still has connotations of sitting in silence, chanting for hours on end.
Forget this stereotype and let me tell you some facts about Meditation.
– Meditation is a skill, it’s not something some people can just ‘do’ it’s
something we get better at over time.
– Everyone can meditate!
– Meditation is simply the act of calming and focussing our minds.
– Meditation is not ‘thinking about nothing’. This isn’t actually possible! Our
minds are designed to constantly have thoughts running through it.
Instead, meditation is about calming the number of thoughts and the speed of
thoughts rushing through our mind, and increasing our focus on one thing in
the present moment, such as breathing.
